Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I find an ICN on the arm system?

There are at least 3 answers for not being able to find an ICN on ARM: The detailed information has not been entered yet. The ICN your are trying to find is not on an inventory account that your USER ID has access to. The asset has been disposed on ARM.

I am new to the department and need access to ARM. What do I do?

Recommendation is to Submit a request for user id for the ARMS on the ADM8 server. In Addition, ARM training is offered Weekly. Call the Inventory Office at 422-4098 or 422-6106 for day, time and location of training.

I cannot get into ARM because I have forgotten the password or the screen reads: "Password Violations", what do I do?

Call 422-3699. Ask for your password to be reset. Mention who you are, that you are on the ADM8 server, and what you user id is.

I have setup an old computer monitor for the surplus sale about 4 weeks ago. This asset is still on our inventory and in our office. What can we do to get this item out of here?

The Inventory Office, by the ARM system, is just the information base. Through ARM, we can provide information on the asset. It is through Moving, (telephone number 422-2710) that all disposed equipment is either sold or scrapped as directed by the department who has responsibility for the equipment. Computer equipment that is sent for surplus goes through CES first. If not selected for use by CES, the equipment then goes to an employee sale. If not sold at the employee sale, there is a general public sale. Purchasing combined with Moving handle the surplus sales.
