Required Medical Insurance

BYU requires the following students to have adequate medical insurance.  Students must provide BYU with their basic insurance policy information.  This information can  be provided on-line using the following navigation:  BYU Home Page > RouteY > School > Student/Health Plan.  Students who do not provide this information will be automatically enrolled in BYU’s Student Health Plan, which fulfills the medical insurance requirement.  Students who have been auto enrolled in the health plan may withdraw from the plan and receive and have health plan charges reversed also by providing the health insurance information as described above (providing they have not made a claim against the plan).

STUDENTS REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE

  • All undergraduate and graduate students with 9 credit hours or more for Fall and Winter semesters
  • All undergraduate and graduate students with 4.5 credit hours or more Spring and  Summer terms
