Payments to BYU

The Budget Office is responsible for facilitating the annual university budgeting process and for ensuring compliance with budgetary policy. Efforts in this office help support all faculty, staff, and administrators who have interest in, or responsibility for, university financial resources. This is accomplished in part by:

  • Employee Receivables-are accounts that record balances to employees for debt incurred with the University. Examples of such debt would include: Tuition, travel expenses, parking citations, payroll overpayments, and dishonored checks.
  • General Receivables-is responsible for billing and accounting for payments from business entities desiring to do business with the University.
  • Loan Receivables-are those loans made to students to help with their education expenses. Examples of these loans would be: Short-term Loans, Woolley Loans, Long-term Loans, Peery Loans, Graduate School of Management Loans.
  • Student/Non-current Receivables-are accounts that record balances to current students and alumni that have incurred a debt with the University. Examples of debt incurred would be: Tuition, Class Fees, Heath Insurance, Medical Expenses, Telephone Charges, Housing, Departmental Financial Delinquency, Parking fines, Late Fees, and Miscellaneous.
