What can a student petition?

 

Pro-Rated:

1.     Medical- A doctor's note must be attached to the petition form
2.     Never attended class
3.     Department Error- A memo from that department must be provided
4.     Personal financial difficulty- Your personal monthly budget must be attached to the petition form

 

Other Fees

To petition the following fees because of medical, employment/internships, personal or family reasons, contact the Petitions Office at (801) 422-6570, email them at petitions@byu.edu, or visit their office in B-150 ASB:

• Adding a class
• Withdrawing a class
• Section change
• Discontinue
• Incomplete
• Incomplete extension
• Credit hour change

Note: Petitions take 4 to 6 weeks to process. Once they are processed a message will be posted in My Financial Center, which can be accessed through Route Y.
