In 1980 John began his BYU career with the BYU Development Office (now LDS Foundation). Prior to that time he worked in public accounting for nine years, the last six of which he owned and operated his own CPA firm. He has worked for BYU Financial Services since 1986. For the past few years he has supervised all tax matters pertaining to the University. As Director of Regulatory Accounting and Reporting he also oversees accounting for investments, endowment and gift accounting, and research accounting. He is a 1971 BYU Graduate and holds an MBA degree also from BYU. John has 9 children, four of whom are married, and 8 grandchildren. Three of the five unmarried children are college students--one at Northwestern University Law School and two at BYU. A son currently serves in the Illinois Chicago North Mission. John enjoys golf and reading and being with his family, especially the grandchildren.
