Research

The Office of Grants and Contracts Accounting is responsible for the post-award administration of sponsored programs (federal, state, and private grants, contracts and cooperative agreements) Our office supports all professors and students involved in formal research at BYU. To accomplish these responsibilities we:

• Establish and maintain sponsored research accounts
• Budget funds upon receipt of sponsored agreements
• Prepare billings and requests for reimbursement
• Provide accounting entries to record payments
• Prepare financial reports
• Process sponsored program budget adjustments
• Process sponsored program expenditure transfers (JE's)
• Provide support and recommendations on research-related issues
• Administer time and effort reports for after the fact certification of effort
