Living Legends Auditions

For Students: Come and try out for a spot on the Living Legends performing group. The group is comprised of 36 singers/dancers/musicians and eight technical personnel. The group tours nationally and internationally presenting a cultural spectacle of the ethnic music and dance of the Latin American, Native American and Polynesian cultures. This year’s tours are Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand.
Sign Up for Auditions: Call the Dance office (801-422-5086) to schedule an audition (or sign up during the Open House) after August 1. Callbacks are by invitation only will be Saturday, August 29.
The audition happens in two parts—the private audition lasts three minutes and showcases your personal talents in ethnic or contemporary music and/or dance experience from your culture or other cultures represented by the group, demonstrating what you feel will be your strongest asset to the group. The second part of the audition is a group dance audition where you will be taught traditional dance sequences from the Latin, Polynesian and Native American cultures.
More Information: Attend an Open House on Wednesday, August 26 from noon until 2 p.m. in the Richards Building room 1137 to meet students in the group and to learn more about auditions.
